Sally Argo left school in 1992 and began training to work with horses at a stud farm. Since learning to ride, aged 12, she had wanted to spend all of her time with horses. Sally continued to work in the horse industry for 6 years in different yards, mainly with youngstock but also with a dressage trainer and at a small riding school.
In 1999 Sally decided to train as a saddler and moved to Walsall in the West Midlands, where she completed a diploma in saddlery and harness making, with distinction. The next step was to join the Worshipful Company of Saddlers Millenium Apprenticeship Scheme to complete her education and become a fully qualified saddler.
On moving back to Scotland Sally set up her own business, Heartland Saddlers.
